La Charente relies on TOMRA technologies for sorting cardboard and packaging waste from its region

Paris, June 18, 2021 - TOMRA Recycling has supplied Calitom, the public waste management body in Charente, with optical sorting machines and ongoing support since 2015. Its recycling factory uses 7 AUTOSORT® optical sorters to sort 40,000 tonnes/per annum of recoverable material from recyclable packaging and paper/cardboard. The facility has doubled its capacities since it opened its doors in 2015 and is constantly adapting its technological tools to the developments in incoming waste flows.
